The “5G Forest Watcher” aims to improve early forest fire detection in the Görlitz district through the use of modern technology. With the help of 5G networks, sensors and artificial intelligence, forest fires should be detected and localized at an early stage. This enables emergency services to respond more quickly and thus contributes to protecting forests and improving public safety. The project demonstrates the practical application of 5G technology in rural areas. The ENO took over project management and media support for the project on behalf of the Görlitz district.

With the Oberlausitz Hydrogen Forums (WFO for short), we pursue the goal of making regional potential, needs and generation projects in Lusatia visible. At the same time, we would like to sensitize the region to this future issue and promote supra-regional cooperation. In this way, buyers and producers of hydrogen (H₂) are brought together with funding providers and interested parties and attractive conditions are created for settlements in the region.
